Åkesson Bejofo chocolate has a very distinctive cocoa aroma with subtle fruity-sweet acidity and pleasant flavor notes reminiscent of citrus and red berries.

The Åkesson Bejofo cocoa comes from the Bertil Åkesson Bejofo Estate, located in the Sambirano Valley in northwest Madagascar. Since 1920, this plantation has been producing the world-famous aromatic Criollo cocoa.

This is a chocolate you can enjoy every day – a healthy, nourishing drink that combines pleasure with nutritional benefits.

How to prepare hot drinking chocolate?

Many people ask us how to make good hot drinking chocolate. When preparing it, remember not to boil the chocolate—just heat it to about 60–70°C (140–158°F) and stir slowly throughout. Good chocolate does not like to be rushed.

Option 1
Cup of very thick drinking chocolate
Portion: 140 ml – 1 cup

Prepare about 70 ml of 18% cream (or 35 ml of 35% cream and 40 ml of milk) and add about 70 g of chocolate. Heat gently to around 60–70°C (140–158°F) while stirring slowly. Once the chocolate has melted, it’s ready to drink.

Option 2
Mug of drinking chocolate
Portion: 230 ml – 1 mug

Prepare 200 ml of milk and add 2 tablespoons of chocolate (about 30 g). Heat while stirring continuously until the chocolate is fully melted.
